Aspirus Supports Taylor County Hybrid Treatment Court

Aspirus Medford Hospital & Clinics Community Health Improvement Grant Program recently provided $9,000 in funding to the Taylor County Hybrid Treatment Court.

The goal of Taylor County Hybrid Treatment Court Program is to promote public safety by utilizing a team approach. By using case management, treatment, substance use monitoring and judicial oversight, the program ensures participants receive necessary treatment and support as a mechanism for being held accountable for their actions.

The Taylor County Hybrid Treatment Court program began in 2013 and is a treatment-based alternative to jail, prison and the standard probation model.  Justice system partners work cooperatively to provide each participant with all  the available tools needed to get into recover, stay in recovery and lead productive, crime-free lives.

“Treatment courts that provide supervision, structure and evidence-based treatment are a far more successful approach to substance use and mental health disorders than incarceration alone,” said Dale Hustedt, President, Aspirus Northwest Division. “We are pleased to support this program for  those with substance use and mental health disorders as a key strategy in our community to support recovery and stability for participants.”

The Aspirus Health Community Health Improvement Grant Program works to advance the Aspirus vision by being a catalyst for building healthy thriving communities.
