Aspirus Riverview Nurse Jade Plummer Wins DAISY Award

Congratulations to Jade Plummer, Aspirus Riverview’s quarterly DAISY Award winner. Jade is a registered nurse in Aspirus Riverview Hospital's Emergency Department. Here is what her nominator wrote about her:

On Valentine's Day, we rented out Skate City for a couple of hours for some socially distanced fun. We weren't there long when our daughter, Kaylee, attempted a ramp and fell, badly breaking her wrist.

My husband and I are both retired military and have been in many ERs all over the place. We have really been there, done that... and you guys just blew us away from start to finish!

I had a bit of a meltdown when they were going to give her the "twilight" sedation to reset her wrist. Jade was so incredibly reassuring. She said she was a mom too, and that she would take over as the mom to ensure Kaylee was comfortable and not having any pain. They treated Kaylee like she was one of their children!

Kaylee liked Jade so much that she asked to have her picture taken with her. Jade was quick to agree and gave Kaylee a big hug for the photo. This experience was just so over the top that filling out bubbles on a survey wouldn't fully describe how your staff went above and beyond.

The DAISY Award recognizes the super-human efforts nurse perform every day. Like Jade, these nurses exceed the needs and expectations of patients and families by displaying the Aspirus core values of: Compassion, Accountability, Collaboration, Foresight and Joy.
