Aspirus Pleasant View in Phillips maintains 5-Star rating

Aspirus Pleasant View in Phillips continues to maintain its rating as a 5-Star skilled nursing facility, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This rating places Aspirus Pleasant View alongside the best Medicare- and Medicaid-participating skilled nursing facilities in the nation.

The 5-Star rating system is intended to help people make better choices for rehabilitation or long-term care. CMS rates skilled nursing facilities from a low of one star (“much below average”) to a high of five stars (“much above average”) based on three key categories: health inspection results, staffing levels and quality measures.

Only 136 of Wisconsin’s 374 skilled nursing facilities currently hold 5-Star status.

Aspirus Pleasant View also passed an unannounced State of Wisconsin inspection with no deficiencies in August. Skilled nursing facilities must meet a complex series of federal and state rules and regulations at all times, including standards governing food preparation, the protection of residents from physical and mental abuse, and appropriate care practices. Aspirus Pleasant View successfully met all standards to earn its deficiency-free rating.

Aspirus Pleasant View is a 50-bed rehabilitation facility that provides 24-hour skilled nursing care and supervision by licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants. Residents can benefit from either short-term rehab stays or long-term nursing care.
