Aspirus Medford Foundation Donates to VFW Loan Closet

MEDFORD, Wis. – The Aspirus Medford Foundation recently donated rollators and knee walkers to the Medford VFW Post 5729.
The VFW maintains a supply of durable home medical equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. that community members can borrow during rehabilitation from surgery, an injury, or other physical limitation.
“We are pleased to support such a valuable resource that provides these much-needed items to the people of our community,” said Amanda Lange, Director of Community Health & Foundation at Aspirus Medford Hospital and Clinic. “Thanks to the generous support of our donors we were able to restock the loan closet with eleven rollators which are walkers with a built-in seat and fifteen knee-style walkers that support those who require bent knee support.”
Community members in need of home medical equipment from the Loan Closet are encouraged to contact the VFW Club House at 715-748-3322. Bill Vach, Commander of VFW Post 5729, can also field inquiries for equipment loans at 715-560-1146.
