Aspirus Medford Clinic welcomes family nurse practitioner Heather Struensee

Heather Struensee, FNP, Aspirus Medford Clinic

Heather Struensee, FNP, is now seeing patients at Aspirus Medford Clinic. She is a family medicine specialist providing primary health care services to people of all ages.

A nurse since 2011, Struensee became a nurse practitioner in 2018. She is honest, down to earth and a great listener who loves to teach. “I like being able to help patients on a deeper level,” she said. “I like listening to my patients’ stories in order to help them to the best of my ability and within their capability.” 

Her special interests include children’s health, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), and working one-on-one with patients to address the cause of disease and promote overall health.

Struensee earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Mid-State Technical College, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh and her master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She is certified in basic, advanced cardiac and advanced burn life support.

Struensee grew up in a bunch of small towns in Midwest Wisconsin and now makes her home in Neillsville. She and her husband, Jeff, have four children ages 11, eight, six and forever two. Her hobbies include quilting, running and camping.
