Aspirus Langlade's Flex Farm completes second harvest
On May 11, 2021, the farmers at Aspirus Langlade Hospital harvested the second crop of lettuce grown in its Flex Farm (located in the Three Sisters Café).
The lettuce seeds were planted on April 5, 2021, and harvested 35 days later. The bounty was approximately 20 pounds of sustainably grown lettuce!
Aspirus Langlade Hospital used its high-in-nutrients product on May 12 for its plant-based menu as an ingredient in the Spring Strawberry Salad.
Aspirus Langlade's next crop will be a combination of grape tomatoes and specialty lettuce.
