Aspirus Hosts Adult Diabetes Support Group in Wisconsin Rapids

Aspirus Riverview Diabetes & Nutrition Center is pleased to announce the resumption of the Adult Diabetes Support Group. The group will hold one fall meeting and one spring meeting each year.

For the fall meeting, “Trends in Diabetes Management” will be presented by Registered Nurse Gaynal Hofmeister, RN, CDE, Registered Dietitian Becki White, MS, RD, CDE, and Registered Dietitian Karrie Benda, MS, RD.

Conflicting information and new technology can be confusing. The presenters will answer participants’ questions regarding food, carbs, medications, exercise, blood sugar monitoring, health concerns specific to diabetes, and more.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the lower level conference rooms of Aspirus Riverview Hospital, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids.

Attendance is free, and no registration is needed. Anyone with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes is invited. New members, caregivers, family members, and support persons are also welcome.
