All ladies invited to ‘Until There's a Cure’ Aspiring Women event in Ironwood

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, about 250,000 new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2018; about 1 in 8 women. That could be your mother, sister, daughter, wife or husband. Today, there are more than 33 million breast cancer survivors, from every walk of life.

Aspirus invites everyone to Until There’s a Cure for Cancer – a FREE Aspiring Women event to be held at the Aspirus Ironwood Clinic on Wednesday, October 24th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Dr. Zuhair Ghanem, Aspirus Upper Peninsula Oncologist, will discuss the signs, symptoms and screenings that can help detect breast cancer early.

Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from a panel of experts, which includes Radiologist Dr. Tatyana Bombard, General Surgeon Dr. Enrico Braucher, and community resources for those who have undergone or are undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

The event includes free refreshments and an Aspiring Women gift.

Attendance is free, but registration is required by October 22. To register, please call 906-932-7087.

The Aspiring Women program is designed to inspire health and wellness through educational and entertaining events for women. Since Aspirus Keweenaw launched the program in May of 2016, membership has grown to over 750 women of all ages. Membership is free and includes invitations to events and free e-newsletters.
