MyRiverview Patient Portal FAQs

Who is eligible to enroll in MyRiverview?

If you are 18 years of age or older and have been a patient in our hospital or clinics, you are eligible to enroll in MyRiverview.

If you have a child who is a patient at a Riverview location and below the age of 14*, you can request “proxy access” to view his/her MyRiverview account. *Wisconsin State Statute requires the termination of minor access at the age of 14. To request proxy access for your minor please come into a Riverview location and speak to a registration specialist or financial counselor.

“Proxy Access” can also be granted to family members that are 18 and above. To request access for an adult proxy, the adult patient will need to present to a Riverview location and speak with a registration specialist or financial counselor. Riverview staff will have a form for the patient to complete that will allow the setup of Proxy access.

How do I enroll in MyRiverview?

There are a few methods you can use to enroll in MyRiverview.

  • You can come into a Riverview location where a registration specialist or financial counselor can enroll you.
  • If you have an email on file with the hospital or clinics and know your medical record number you can self-enroll. If you need either piece of data please come into a Riverview location and speak to a registration specialist or financial counselor.
  • You can fill out the MyRiverview Enrollment form and turn it in to a registration specialist or financial counselor in person at a Riverview location.

What information do I need to initially enroll in MyRiverview?

You will need your medical record number, your name, birth date, and the email address that Riverview has on file.

What features can I access via MyRiverview?

  • Securely message with your Riverview family practice provider
  • View and request appointments
  • Review your lab results
  • Update Personal Information
  • Request prescription renewals
  • See visit history and discharge information

What are the Login Id and password requirements?

The MyRiverview LOGIN ID must be a minimum of 6 characters, and a maximum of 12 characters. The MyRiverview PASSWORD must be a minimum of 6 characters, a maximum of 12 characters, and must contain at least 1 numeric character.

Is my Login Id case sensitive?

No, your Login Id (logon id) for MyRiverview is not case sensitive; however, passwords are case sensitive.

What if I forget my Portal Login Id?

If you forget your Portal Login Id, you may call the Aspirus Riverview Hospital Health Information department and ask that your portal Login Id get reset. For security purposes, the Health Information employees will NOT give you a new Login Id over the phone, they will reset the ID and an email will be sent to you with the new information.

What should I do if I forget my password?

You will have 5 attempts to log in before your account is locked due to invalid password use. If you have forgotten your password or your account becomes locked, follow these steps to begin the process of resetting your password:

  • Select "Forgot Password?" from the login window.
  • Enter your Login Id and Email Address click "submit."
  • You will receive a message stating that an email has been sent to the address associated with your Patient Portal.
  • Check your email for the password reset message.
  • Click the link contained in the email.

How do I logout of MyRiverview?

Click the ‘Logout’ link at the top right side of the page. The ‘Login’ screen will appear verifying that you logged out successfully. You may then exit from the MyRiverview Patient Portal page.

Can I ask emergency-related questions via the Patient Portal?

No. The Patient Portal is not to be used for emergency related health care issues. If you are experiencing a health care emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

Is MyRiverview patient portal secure? Who can see my patient portal?

The patient portal uses encryption (security measures) to keep unauthorized persons from reading communications, information, or attachments. Secure messages and information can be read only by someone who knows the correct password to log in to the portal site. Your patient portal may be accessed by any users that you have authorized with proxy access.

What browsers are recommended for accessing the MyRiverview Patient Portal?

MyRiverview is compatible with most web browsers: Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.

Why is Riverview requesting an e-mail address?

You will need an e-mail address to enroll and to communicate important updates to you, such as new information that has been uploaded to the patient portal.

Will I be notified when new information is available in MyRiverview patient portal?

Yes, you will receive a “New Portal Activity” email alert when new health information is available in the Patient Portal.

What lab results can I view on the portal?

You can view lab results for Hospital based and Clinic based visits. The following lab tests are omitted from the portal: HIV, HSV, STD, Pregnancy, Chemical Dependency, and Behavioral Health testing.

I don’t understand my results, can you help me?

Please contact your provider for any questions concerning your medical information.

Is MyRiverview health information updated in real time?

Upon each successful log into your patient portal it is updated real time with the most up to date information from your medical record.

What should I do if I see a discrepancy or information that is not up-to-date on MyRiverview?

If you see a discrepancy in the information, contact the Aspirus Riverview Hospital Health Information Department. They will walk you through the process of requesting an amendment to your record. If you are requesting changes to your profile, you may do that electronically through MyRiverview patient portal.

Can I view my billing information?

Not at this time. The patent portal currently contains only medical information, not financial information.

How can I obtain a copy of my entire medical record?

IF you need information that is not currently found on MyRiverview patient portal, you may contact the Health Information Department. They will provide you with information on how to obtain your health information.

How do I cancel my MyRiverview patient portal account?

If you would like to cancel MyRiverview patient portal, please, stop by or call the Health Information Department. You may call the Health Information Department at 715.422.7720, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm central time.

What should I do if I have other technical problems with MyRiverview Patient Portal?

Please email us with any MyRiverview Portal Patient related issues. It is important to note that Riverview does not support personal devices. If you are having an issue with the device you are trying to access MyRiverview with please seek help from your local PC repair service.
