Down more than 100 lbs. and healthy

Mike Goen, of Dorchester, was a typical kid and young adult - healthy, active and happy. About 30 years ago, Mike broke his ankle. Being off his feet for an extended length of time, while rehabbing, proved to be a challenge for his health. The weight slowly started going on. While it fluctuating up and down for several decades, Mike woke up one morning in October 2012, morbidly obese at 320 pounds, with hip and knee problems, borderline diabetes and high blood pressure. He was sick of being unhealthy.  That day he decided it was time to change his life.
