In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family (husband and two children), reading, knitting, and crocheting. A homebody at heart, she is a garden enthusiast who is always trying to find that next rare flower as well as an animal lover with a soft spot for cats and dogs.

Melissa is an upbeat person who enjoys connecting with people and working with them to reach their health care goals. A family medicine specialist, she provides primary health care services to people of all ages.

"Preventive care is something that I am enthusiastic about and I am excited to help people become and remain as healthy as they can be," she says. "I am a firm believer that creating a culture of learning and understanding between the patient and practitioner empowers people to take an active role in their own health care decisions and well-being."

Melissa began her health care career in 2010 as a registered nurse in Park Falls. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Melissa grew up in Phillips and continues to call the town home. "I appreciate the opportunity to serve the community I've grown up in and look forward to helping people understand and optimize their health."
