About this Location

Clinical and service excellence, rapid recovery, personal care—all in Aspirus Riverview Hospital's beautiful, private rooms.

There may come a time when knee or hip pain reduces the quality of your life. Everyday activities, such as walking, shopping, yard work or house work can become difficult or unbearable. Taking part in favorite hobbies such as golf or bowling may be a thing of the past because conservative measures like diet, exercise and medications no longer provide relief or alleviate your pain.

If this sounds like you, and you would like to get your life back, it may be time to consider joint replacement.

Patient-Centered Approach

We have created a special program that brings together the team of experienced surgeons of Wisconsin River Orthopaedics and their staff with the specially-trained nurses and therapists of Aspirus Riverview Joint Center. Our goal is to provide seamless, coordinated care and get you back to your favorite activities as soon as possible.

Within Aspirus Riverview Joint Center, we have created a special area just for the care of our knee, hip and shoulder replacement patients. Our patients stay in their own private, modern, spacious room on the second floor of Aspirus Riverview Hospital Tower.

No hospital gowns for this crowd—you get to wear your own clothes! “Your Coach” (family member or friend) is encouraged to participate in group activities and education. Exercise and therapy are also provided individually and in group settings, so our patients can support and encourage each other on the road to recovery. New friendships are made, enhancing the healing process.

Our staff members are chosen for their positive attitudes, motivational skills, and their desire to provide outstanding service. In addition, they are specially trained to provide comprehensive clinical care for patients undergoing this important procedure.

Superior Education

We believe the key to better outcomes is a commitment to superior education for you and your family. Knowing what to expect each step of the way goes a long way to reducing stress and anxiety and preparing you for a smooth recovery. Our patient-centered approach includes:

  • Consultation on the latest treatment options for knee, hip and shoulder pain—including medications, diet and exercise tips
  • An informative pre-surgery class for joint replacement patients and their coaches
  • A Patient Guidebook covering every aspect of hip and knee replacement
  • Daily newsletters while in the hospital
  • Home care education
  • Our Joint Center Coordinator, a person dedicated to answering your questions and addressing your concerns before and during your hospitalization, and after you transition home

Excellence in Joint Replacement

We are continuously evaluating and measuring our performance to ensure we provide the highest quality program possible, tailored to each and every patient. Our team meets regularly with a focus on maintaining clinical and service excellence in all aspects of your joint replacement experience.

  • Rapid Recovery & Transition to Home—ninety-six percent of our patients recover in their own home, rather than a nursing home.
  • Personal Care—ninety-eight percent of our patients report they would recommend our Joint Center to family and friends.
