EMS Training & Ride-Along Program

EMS Training

MedEvac is available to provide helicopter landing zone  training, as well as other types of training associated with critical care transport. Members of the MedEvac team will present on-site training at area hospitals and EMS agencies to support ongoing educational initiatives.

MedEvac staff who receive Clinical Preceptor training through the Technical College System can be Clinical Preceptors for EMS students enrolled in various EMS programs such as First Responders, EMT’s, Paramedics and Critical Care Paramedics.  Under the guidance of their Clinical Preceptor, the students will perform medical assessments and interventions in the medical transport environment.

MedEvac Ride-Along Program

To further the understanding of what ground medical transport entails, and to build enhanced relationships with EMS agencies and outlying medical facilities, we offer a MedEvac Ride-Along Program.

The program is open to any certified EMS professional or volunteer of all certification levels, including Certified First Responders thru EMT-Paramedic, physicians, nurses, and PA-C’s who work at facilities serviced by MedEvac.  This experience is solely observational with a strict no-hands-on clause. Preference will be given to those working in the MedEvac primary service area.
