Aspirus Care & Rehab is a 50-bed skilled nursing facility that is connected to Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford WI.
All our residents/patients are provided with a wide range of daily therapeutic and active leisure activities including arts and crafts, reading groups, brain games to stimulate memory and other cognitive functions, exercise, music, church services, and/or transportation and assistance to enjoy community festivals, concerts, and fishing in our local lakes.

General and Restorative Nursing Services
Our general and restorative nursing services are designed for those who can no longer be cared for at home or in an assisted living setting due to illness, injury or other physical limitations.

Skilled Nursing Services
Aspirus Care & Rehab’s skilled nursing services benefit patients who may have suffered from a prolonged acute or chronic illness or may have had a recent illness, injury or surgical procedure. These patients are medically stable but may require an increased frequency of nursing assessment and monitoring. (Private rooms are available.) Services include:
- Cardiac recovery services
- Case management
- Complete diabetes treatment
- Discharge planning

- On-site dietician for nutritional support

Wound and skin care
- Alzheimer’s Disease – For those with Dementia or other memory challenges, Aspirus Care & Rehab can offer services and an individualized plan of care for the less severe.
- End-of-Life Commitment – A holistic and compassionate plan of care can be provided in cooperation with Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, and Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Inc.
Rehabilitation Services / Short-term (inpatient) stays
Short-term rehabilitation is for people who need a transition between hospital care and going home. Our new rehabilitation wing for short-term stays offers:

Our multidisciplinary team is collaborative and will work together with the patient, their physician and others if needed, to provide each and every person an excellent recovery restorative program. The therapeutic services are customized to meet individual needs to improve strength and functionality, so they can return home sooner.
