PROGRAM SERVICE

Patients receiving care at the Aspirus Heart & Vascular Insitute have the benefit of the full resources available at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This is important, because Aspirus Wausau Hospital has invested in the facilities, technology and experts that made it one of the nation’s best hospitals. It was the first hospital in the region to receive Magnet Certification – the nation’s highest award for nursing excellence, given to just 3 percent of all US hospitals.

Research

The Aspirus Heart & Vascular Institute develops research and education initiatives through the Cardiovascular Research & Education (CaRE) Foundation. The foundation strives to find better ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease and educating the public with its findings. Research efforts involve medications, treatment options and new advances in hopes of improving cardiovascular care and prevention for residents of the communities we serve. Since 1996, the CaRE Foundation has participated in dozens of clinical research trials.
