HOW 150 - Bike Event
Bike for a Healthy Heart!

June 12-13, 2010
The Heart of Wisconsin is a two-day event for bicyclists of all abilities, with routes ranging from 10 to 75 miles. The ride consists of short, medium and long routes and is designed to attract anyone who’d like to participate, from the beginner to the cycling enthusiast.
Please join the Aspirus Heart & Vascular Institute and Wausau Wheelers in promoting a healthy lifestyle while exploring the beautiful landscape of North Central Wisconsin.
2010 Ride Details
Four rides for all abilities!
HOW...It's FUN - A new Saturday-only ride is designed for youth, families and those just beginning! This ride will incorporate a helmet and bike safety check, rules of the road instruction and a short route of less than 10 miles. Riders will travel a loop from DCE Middle School which includes a rest stop and refreshments. This ride is not closed to traffic, however it is a minimally congested route. Those under 18yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
Early Registration (before June 4): $10
On-Site Registration $15
HOW...To Get Started - This ride is designed for those interested in riding one of our shorter loops. This loop will begin at DCE Middle School and travel toward Antigo on Saturday and Stevens Point on Sunday. This loop will encompass approximately 25 miles and will include rest stops and a post ride meal beginning at 2pm.
Early Registration (before June 4): $30 – 1 day , $50 – 2 day
On-site Registration (June 12-13): $40 – 1 day, $60 – 2 day
HOW...You Can Do It! - This ride is designed for riders looking to challenge themselves. This medium loop will begin at DCE Middle School and will travel toward Antigo on Saturday and Stevens Point on Sunday. This loop will encompass approximately 45 miles and will include rest stops and a post ride meal beginning at 2pm.
Early Registration (before June 4): $30 – 1 day, $50 – 2 day
On-site Registration (June 12-13): $40 – 1 day, $60 – 2 day
HOW 150 The Challenge - This ride is designed for cyclists looking for a challenge! This loop will begin at DCE Middle School and will travel to Antigo on Saturday and Stevens Point on Sunday. This loop will encompass approximately 75 miles (2 day total of 150 miles) and will include rest stops and a post ride meal beginning at 2pm.
Early Registration (before June 4): $30 – 1 day, $50 – 2 day
On-site Registration (June 12-13): $40 – 1 day, $60 – 2 day

Helmets are required of ALL riders, there are no exceptions.
All routes will have SAG (Support and Gear) ride support available.
