Behavioral Health Services
Aspirus works collaboratively with North Central Health Care to provide behavioral health services. All behavioral health patients in need of inpatient psychiatric care will be cared for at North Central Health Care if no other medical care is necessary.
Aspirus provides outpatient behavioral health services through the Aspirus Behavioral Medicine Clinic.
Mental illness is more common than you think
At some time in their lives, nearly half of all Americans may deal with a mental illness. Mental and emotional problems can have adverse affects on our physical well-being and overall lives. At times, these feelings can be so overwhelming that we are no longer able to enjoy our lives or interact with others as we normally would. When this happens, it is urgent that we get help for our illness before the condition worsens and those down feelings become suicidal feelings.
Mental illness is exactly that – an illness, and just like any other physical illness, it can be treated. Those who suffer from depression, anxiety or other illness, can lead happy and productive lives with treatment.
