Have more questions?
The Aspirus Women’s Health Breast Center is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality breast care, including access to education, prevention, early detection and all the services needed for the treatment of diseases of the breast.
Our comprehensive program includes a complete range of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment such as digital mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and stereotactic biopsy. Our mobile mammography unit increases access for early detection to our region, and is also used for our grant-funded free mammography program for women who qualify.
When a test indicates the possibility of breast cancer, diagnostic testing is individually coordinated by a caring team of Nurse Navigators. These nurses assist you by answering your questions, coordinating your appointments, identifying needed resources, and providing emotional support. And, because we know waiting increases your anxiety we utilize "Quick Steps from Detection to Diagnosis," to provide you with a definitive answer as quickly as possible.
Delivery of Care
When breast cancer is found, care is delivered by specialists in breast surgery, general surgery, plastic/reconstructive surgery, radiology, medical oncology, radiation oncology and genetic counseling. Your primary care provider is kept informed every step of the way.
Again, the Nurse Navigator team is there to coordinate your care. Twice a month, we hold a multidisciplinary breast conference where all the doctors involved in your care meet to discuss your treatment plan. We value your active contribution in designing your treatment plan. You will receive information about new treatments and opportunities for participation in ongoing cancer treatment studies.
Our accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) assures you that our center meets or exceeds the 27 standards set by this consortium of national and professional organizations.
