Recognition Programs

The recognition program is utilized to recognize, support and promote a culture where:

• Appreciation and thanks are freely expressed

• Accomplishments and contributions are acknowledged in an intentionally immediate manner.

• Acknowledgment is generated for all partners in the Aspirus community.

• The customer is the primary focus.

• Risk taking is seen as necessary and is encouraged.

Nurses of Excellence

Each year, Aspirus nurses are nominated by patients, physicians, multidisciplinary colleagues, and other nurses for the Nurses of Excellence Award. The award recognizes nurses who stand out as the best of the best, not only in clinical skill and bedside care, but also for professional activities such as preceptoring, researching, and promoting quality improvement.

The nurses that are recognized demonstrate competence, commitment, professionalism, advocacy, empathy and a passion for nursing. The nurses being acknowledged are also respected by their team members for their leadership and skills.

Vision Award Program

Vision Awards are presented on a regular basis during the year to recognize those who are nominated by their peers for embracing one or more of the Aspirus core values of Service, Community, Integrity or Improvement.
