Patient Satisfaction

Inpatients, outpatients and emergency patients are surveyed each month to determine their level of satisfaction.  Trending data for several years indicates patients have been highly satisfied with their nursing care.  We utilize a measurement scale from 1 to 4, with 4.0 being the best possible response.  Patients are asked the following questions regarding care from their nurses:

  • How often did nurses treat you with courtesy and respect?

  • How often did nurses listen carefully to you?

  • How often did nurses explain things in a way you could understand?

  • After you pressed the call button, how often did you get help as soon as you wanted it?

Composite results for all four questions are averaged to provide an overall "dashboard" total for monitoring purposes.
