He cares for patients in the Lake Linden Clinic, Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, nursing homes and also provides house calls by special request. Dr. Kauppila emphasizes preventative medicine and uses the most current research to provide an evidence-based approach to healthcare.Dr. Kauppila served as Chief of the Medical Staff at Aspirus Keweenaw. He is also a clinical instructor for the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Kauppila is a marathon runner with a strong interest in fitness and health of athletes.
