Spring grief seminar in Rothschild

ROTHSCHILD, Wis. – Wings, a Grief Education Ministry and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services are holding a grief seminar in April.
The 16th Annual Understanding Grief Spring Seminar is being held April 11-12 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center at Cedar Creek and consists of two seminars. The first, called How Death Changes a Family Thru Grief, Loss & New Beginnings, runs from 7-9 p.m. on April 11 and is a community seminar for the bereaved and caregivers. The second, called Iceberg Theory: Counseling Way Below the Surface, runs from 9 a.m.-noon on April 12 and is for professionals and the bereaved.
The conference presenter is Ben Wolfe, M.Ed., who was the founder, program manager and grief counselor at St Mary's Medical Center Grief Support Services in Duluth, Minn., for 28 years. He provided life-threatening illness and bereavement counseling for people of all ages, as well as individual and family counseling, and support groups. Wolfe has given more than 2,000 presentations at state, national and international levels and taught university graduate courses for more than 25 years.
The first day of the conference is free and the second day costs $40. Pre-registration is not required, but it is recommended. Support for this project was provided through the B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation. Key sponsors include:
