Apr 16, 2014

PHILLIPS, Wis. – Aspirus Pleasant View recently underwent its annual review and was deemed in compliance with all regulations pertaining to resident care services.

Surveyors from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ Division of Quality Assurance spent two-and-a-half days at Aspirus Pleasant View reviewing the resident care services offered at the facility.

Some of the key areas that were reviewed included:

  • Infection control
  • Weight loss
  • Personal cares
  • Pharmacy services
  • Medications

“We are very happy with the results of our survey because it’s that added confirmation that we are providing the type of care to our residents that they expect,” said Jerry Frese, Aspirus Pleasant View administrator.

At the end of the review, state surveyors determined Aspirus Pleasant View was in full compliance with the 1,200-plus state and federal regulations required of a skilled nursing facility pertaining to resident care services.

All Nursing homes that participate in Medicare and Medicaid are required to undergo an annual survey and certification process by its state’s health department to ensure it is in compliance with state and federal requirements. The annual survey evaluates whether the quality of care provided at a facility is in line with regulations.
