Aspirus offering Diabetes Day Camp for kids

WAUSAU, Wis. – Aspirus is offering a Diabetes Day Camp on Feb. 1 for kids between the ages of 6-12 with diabetes.
The day camp is a way to teach kids about diabetes using teachable moments during a day of fun activities. This camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is being held at the D.C. Everest School Forest, located at 3320 Pyke Rd., in Mosinee.
Children who attend will have the opportunity to meet other kids with type 1 diabetes, learn from them, and have fun while participating in indoor and outdoor activities. Snacks will be provided, but participants should bring their own lunch.
This program is sponsored by Aspirus Health Foundation, Aspirus Clinics and Aspirus diabetes Education/Nutrition Counseling Center. Funding for this important program is generously provided by the EO Johnson Charitable Legacy Fund through the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin.
