Kids can ‘Splash Into Safety’ at Kaiser Pool

WAUSAU, Wis. – Kids between the ages of five and 14 can participate in “Splash Into Safety,” a water safety program sponsored by Aspirus Wausau Hospital and Safe Kids Wausau Area, on June 15 at Kaiser Pool.

Kids must be accompanied by an adult at the program. Check-in will be from 10-10:30 a.m.

The events and activities, which will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., include:

  • Boating safety
  • Life jacket safety
  • Deep water safety
  • Pool and spa safety
  • Reach and throw assists
  • Wading assists
  • Hypothermia precautions
  • CPR/AED demonstration

All participating children will receive a free life jacket provided by Safe Kids Wausau Area.

The event is partnered by Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, Marathon County Sheriff’s Department, Marathon Area Swim Association, Woodson YMCA-Wausau Branch, Venture Crew 439, Divepoint Paddle & Adventure Center and Wausau Fire Department.
