Everyone at some time is faced with personal problems. In most cases, we are able to resolve issues effectively, but sometimes an employee or family member needs help.

Aspirus Employee Assistance Services, located at 3000 Westhill Drive, Suite 100 in Wausau,  is available for stress management, household or marital problems, alcohol or other drug abuse, financial concerns, emotional or behavioral difficulties or personal conflicts.

We also have the expertise to deliver training programs onsite to assist your staff with difficulty issues that an employee may be facing. Training services include:

Mediation is a non-legal conflict resolution process that helps your employees learns to resolve differences and work together more effectively and efficiently.  Choosing mediation to resolve employee disharmony promotes a better work environment reduces costs and benefits the employer and employee.  Our services include resolving employee discord, improvement in unproductive groups, solving employee/manager breakdowns, fostering clarity in communications, and equipping people with the tools to resolve future disagreements.

  • Gate Keeping Services

Mental health and substance abuse counseling needs are unique to each person’s situation.  Gate keeping provides expert triage for appropriate and effective access to counseling services based on the needs of each individual. Our services include triage provided by Master’s prepared, licensed Clinical Social Workers and Professional Counselors, the elimination of inappropriate referrals by employees and covered family members, and utilization control through professional preliminary counseling assessments and pre-authorization.

  • Substance Abuse Professionals (SAP)

When an employee tests positive for alcohol or other drugs, our expert SAPs provide effective, timely case management services.  We assure that your employee gets the help he/she needs to remain a productive contributor to the success of your business.  And, we’ll expertly guide you into compliance with federal regulations.
Out SAPs are masters prepared counselors certified as Substance Abuse Professionals as defined by the federal government.  We offer timely and comprehensive substance abuse assessments and superior ongoing communication with your company’s Designated Employee Representative (DER), including a written compliance report to the DER and recommendations for a follow-test schedule for the employee for up to a five-year period.
