Next cancer support group at Aspirus meets April 11

WAUSAU, Wis. – The Aspirus Regional Cancer Center offers a monthly series of free support groups for cancer patients and caregivers called Reflections of a Journey.

The support group meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Aspirus Regional Cancer Center conference room from 6-7:30 p.m. Each monthly session features a different topic. An informational session runs from 6-7 p.m. with time for discussion to follow.

The next session of the support group meets on April 11, and will focus on the topic of Cancer Research – What it Means for You. Aspirus oncology research coordinator Beth Knetter, RN, will discuss how new treatments are developed, and clinical trials available at the Aspirus Regional Cancer Center.
