New Knowledge Groups

Aspirus Wausau Hospital’s Nursing Research Council hosts house-wide new knowledge groups two to three times a year. The purpose of this educational forum is to:

  • Explore current nursing research to provide evidence for best practice.
  • Review a current research article for type and quality of research and applicability to practice.

New Knowledge Groups are presented as educational offerings to all interested staff.  Topics are selected based on their potential interest to a wide variety of clinical staff and availability of new information.  Recent topics presented include Prevention of CLABSI, Compassion Fatigue, and Impact of Nurse Education on Patient Outcomes.
